Tutoring Policy
Scheduling, Cancellation, and No-Show Policy
To schedule tutoring lessons, please contact Stemly Tutoring at info@stemlytutoring.com. Once a tutor has been assigned and lessons have been scheduled, any subsequent scheduling should be coordinated directly with the tutor. If there are any difficulties in contacting the tutor, please reach out to Stemly Tutoring for assistance.
We understand that unexpected circumstances may arise, and students have the flexibility to reschedule up to 25% of their scheduled lessons per month. The amount of allowable rescheduled hours depends on the chosen tutoring package. This allows for some flexibility in accommodating changes to the tutoring schedule.
In consideration of the tutor's time, Stemly Tutoring enforces a 24-hour cancellation/reschedule policy. We kindly request that students or parent/guardians provide the tutor with a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any lesson cancellation or rescheduling needs. Not providing the necessary notice will lead to the forfeiture of the lesson. In the event of a lesson cancellation, it becomes the responsibility of the student or parent/guardian to reschedule the lesson within a 30-day period.
Punctuality is important for effective tutoring lessons. Students are expected to arrive on time to scheduled tutoring lessons. If a student is more than 15 minutes late or fails to show up to a lesson without notifying the tutor beforehand, the lesson is forfeited.
Payments and Billing
For a seamless tutoring experience, Stemly Tutoring requires prepaid services and packages. Full payment must be made before the tutoring lessons take place. Our billing cycle runs from the 1st to the 30th or 31st of each month. Payments for upcoming lessons within the billing cycle will be automatically charged to the client's credit card on the 1st of the month.
If additional tutoring services are needed beyond the scheduled lessons in the billing cycle, full payment is required before scheduling further lessons. By signing up, clients authorize Stemly Tutoring to immediately charge the selected tutoring lessons' balance to the provided credit card. To ensure uninterrupted service, clients must keep a current and valid credit card on file. Visa or MasterCard are accepted payment methods.
Clients should not directly pay the tutor. All payments must be directed to and processed by Stemly Tutoring to ensure accurate and secure transactions. Additionally, any client referrals should be directed to Stemly Tutoring.
To cancel or make a change to a tutoring subscription, please email Stemly Tutoring at info@stemlytutoring.com by the 20th of the month. This allows us to process the cancellation request and avoid charges for the upcoming month. Please note that refunds cannot be provided for remaining lessons once the billing cycle has begun.
Lesson Recordings
To maintain the quality of our tutoring services, online tutoring lessons may be monitored and recorded for record-keeping, training, and quality-assurance purposes. These recordings will not be used for any other purposes without the written consent of the student or parent/guardian. We respect your privacy and uphold the confidentiality of our tutoring lessons.
Communication
Open communication is essential for a successful tutoring experience. We encourage students and parents/guardians to actively engage with their assigned tutors, providing feedback and addressing any concerns that may arise. Clear and effective communication helps us tailor the tutoring lessons to meet the specific needs of our students.
Preparedness
In order to optimize the value of each tutoring lesson, we kindly request that students proactively share their study materials and specific topics they wish to focus on with their tutor in advance. This will enable the tutor to come prepared and tailor the lesson accordingly. Additionally, we ask students to arrive at the lesson prepared, bringing essential items such as notes, calculators, a pencil, and paper. By adopting this proactive approach, we aim to maximize the utilization of tutoring time, leading to a more focused and productive learning experience for the student.
Respect and Professionalism
We maintain a respectful and professional environment during all tutoring lessons. We expect both tutors and students to treat each other with respect, professionalism, and courtesy. By fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere, we create an optimal learning environment for all parties involved.
Tutor Satisfaction Guarantee
We are committed to 100% satisfaction guarantee. If, for any reason, the student is not satisfied with the tutor they have been matched with at any time, please contact us and we will assign them a new tutor. We recognize that a good tutor-student fit is crucial for student success.
Academic Improvement
While we strive for academic progress, we do not guarantee increased scores or grades. The outcome of academic performance is influenced by various factors beyond our control. We are dedicated to providing high-quality tutoring and support, but individual results may vary. Any concerns about a lesson should be submitted via email within 24 hours of the lesson's occurrence, allowing us to promptly address and resolve any issues that may arise.
Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services in the preceding month.
