Hana

Education: Ph.D. Civil Engineering, M.S. Civil Engineering, M.S. Computational Science and Engineering, B.S. Civil Engineering (Georgia Institute of Technology)

Area of Expertise: Math and Physics

Hana is a dedicated tutor helping students understand challenging subjects. She has a strong academic background in civil engineering from Georgia Tech, where she is also pursuing advanced studies. Hana’s unique tutoring style focuses on making complex concepts understandable and relatable.

Her Ph.D. research involves using computer vision and machine learning to inspect bridges for corrosion. This innovative approach makes inspections faster, safer, and more effective, potentially saving money on repairs and construction. In her projects, she has used drones and computer vision algorithms to detect corrosion and is currently exploring the relationship between corrosion’s visual properties and steel strength.

Hana is passionate about improving infrastructure, making it more functional and resilient against disasters. She also enjoys learning about history, especially art history, and finds it fascinating to see how different eras are represented through art. In her free time, she loves painting, going for walks, and watching movies. Hana also speaks some French and enjoys studying phonetics and etymology.
